It was the evening of August 8th, under the light of a full moon — the night the land itself seemed to breathe differently.
The guests had gone. The camp was unusually still for high season. Only my server and I remained in the dining tent, the air cool and alive with unseen presence.
From the edge of the bush, I first glimpsed him. A great elephant — powerful, silent — moving with the surety of one who knows where he is going. I felt it before it happened: he would come closer.
And then, there he was.
His massive face and trunk appeared in the side of the dining tent, close enough that I could see the ridges in his skin, close enough to feel the weight of his gaze. My server jumped with surprise. The entire tent was open except for its back wall, and the elephant walked the length of each side, slow and deliberate, circling us.
The server grew uneasy, softly calling for the guards. No one came but I knew it was as it should be. My new friend was meant to stay close.
I stayed still, I wondered if he was the elephant who had appeared earlier when I was giving a Session on Energy Intelligence. Either way, I knew he was here for more than curiosity. It felt as if he were reading my energy — and I was reading his.
When his circuit was complete, he did not disappear into the bush. Instead, he lingered for quite some time while I finished my meal. Then began to move toward the tent where I would sleep. By the time the guard arrived to walk me back, the elephant stood just off the path, watching us. I do not know how long he stayed there after we passed, but I know why he came.
In my work with Energy Intelligence™, the Field – the living presence that carries frequencies beyond words speaks volumes through silence. That night, the Field was strong. And he felt it. Perhaps in the same way I felt him: not as an animal passing through, but as a guardian arriving.
As Dereck Joubert, the renowned filmmaker once spoke: “The soul of Africa refreshes, restores, and changes one’s life.”
On that night, beneath the full moon, in the presence of the Elephant Guardian, I felt those words not as poetry — but revealed as truth.
